The SIMM Music Series

A monthly Sunday series at the Musicians Union Hall in San Francisco for original and improvised music. The Static Illusion Methodical Madness Music Series is a musician run monthly music performance series bringing highly professional and original music that would not normally be heard or supported by mainstream presenters. Since 2001 the SIMM Series has been curated by Outsound Presents. Curating a cross section of sound artists and musicians from the experimental improvisation, jazz and other genres.

LSG New Music Series

The Luggage Store New Music Series is bi-monthly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. The series focuses on a wide bredth of music across genres from experimental, improvised, noise, electronic, lowercase, outrock, 21st century composition, new original and avant jazz, voice, and sonic art.
Currently the series is audience supported where the lions share of the proeeds go to the performing artsts and a reasonable percent to the supporting venue. Outsound Presents provides non-paid volunteers who facilitate booking, promotion, and on-site production. For booking please fill out our survey. Please feel to follow up with Rent Romus after you have completed the survey. Performers of all genders, ethnic backrounds, identities, and sexual orientations are welcome. Our focus is the diversity of exploratory music in all forms.

Outsound New Music Summit

The Bay Area’s annual new music festival. The Summit takes place during the last week of July, and features a cross section of performance and educational events celebrating the new music community in all its various forms.

Estamos Ensemble

This ensemble, made up equally of musicians from Mexico and the U.S., is one of two important components of the Americas Comprovisers Exchange Project (ACEP), whose intention is to foster more communication and collaboration between musicians of these two bordering countries as well as better understanding of and appreciation for the citizens of these countries in general.
